Thunderwear and SmartCarry etc....somehow I just don't like a gun hanging over my family jewels.  I would think the better idea is the compression shirt with built in holster.  USCCA holster guide talks about this idea (they cover SmartCarry too) so something like http://www.activeprogear.com/234.html .511 makes one too or there is this one http://www.abetterholster.com/ .  You could also with drawstring pants look at a ClipDraw potentially.  I haven't done any of these and don't actively jog anymore (purely into interval training now).  The downside of having the gun up under your armpit is you probably have another tshirt over this that you are going to have to get up and under.  For me, I figure if I was back out running again I would be going more with the tigerlight or my kimber pepper spray unit as I am more worried about dogs/bears/cougars than humans (I can outrun most of those).

What do you guys do to protect your running weapon from sweat? Mine would be totally soaked (and I mean TOTALLY) in my sweat here in Houston. I run on a treadmill exclusively for this reason. You Florida guys have the same Gulf Coast humidity problem. I'm sure my sweat can even get to the metal internal parts in a polymer weapon......whether SmartCarry crotch holster or IWB...Do yall spray em down after each run?

I don't run as much as go to the gym and lift weights and do the elliptical.  That said, I use a Smart Carry and either my Kahr PM9 or Smith 340 Scandium.  The other side of the pouch holds either a speedloader or extra magazine.  The Smart Carry is a little weird for me for every day carry, but for the gym it is ideal.  For those who like the LCP or other 380s, it would also be ideal for them.

Magoo
I have carried in an Action Direct Defender belly band daily for the last 12 years. I have carried one of three glock models over this time and never had a problem with finish problems at all. I should clarify in our old shop we did not have air conditioning. During the summer when I would remove the gun in the evening it would be soaked thru with sweat. With the Glock the only parts that would show any finish damage were the slidec release and the rear sight (these parts are not finished in tennifer). Once every week or so I would take the slide off, wipe it down and reoil it. That being said, Glock has the only finish that held up to my sweat (a lot of sweat), I tried some other guns over a period of time and could make them rust within a day or two.  The XD finish is holding up pretty good but being in the new building we have climate control so the extreme sweat has let up a lot.
