Wow!

I just read Mas' SHOT Show 2010 update discussing the new version of the SIG P250 with a manual safety!!!

Now my only objection to this pistol has been solved as I subscribe very strongly to Mas' views on weapon retention.

My only question now is if the only action option remains DAO?

Can Mas, Gail, or anyone else confirm this?

If yes, what is the approximate pull weight of the trigger?

Anthony, it is still DAO, but a very smooth and easy DAO. I don't have the trigger pull weight on the tip of my tongue at the moment but you might want to listen to the Pro-Arms Podcast on the P250. It discusses the trigger pull in detail.

Anthony,
I did a T&E article on the gun for "Combat Handguns" magazine... I think that was the one, don't remember the issue. Anyway... my impression of the DOA trigger pull was that my speciman had somewhere in the 7 to 8 pound range and butter smooth. I would kill for that trigger on my revolvers! I was impressed enough with the gun that I almost bought it, but since I carry a M&P 9mm Compact or a Glock 29, I couldn't figure where it would fit in, so I passed.
But, for anyone who has DA revolver experience it is a VERY SWEET trigger. I think in the P250 Podcast I likened the gun to a very well-tuned revolver that fired 16 times before you had to reload. I'll stand by that statement.

Gail:  Thank you for the insights.  Which podcast is the P250 podcast?  I do not remember it.

Chris:  I have back issues going into the past for many years.  I am sure I have it somewhere.  Thank you for your insights.

I wonder if the manual safety is part of the trigger module that moves amongst the three different frame sizes as well as whether or not the manual safety is usable on all of the different frame sizes.
