Hey CA Team,

Thanks for another good podcast on the GRRN. I would like to make one comment however. It sounds like you guys have your stuff together, however you use terms that are widely considered to be amateurish in nature. For example, you frequently refer to having full "clips". However, the firearms we use today do not use clips, they use magazines. While I understand this to be a minor issue, to those who are trained, proper use of terminology goes a long way to delineate those who are squared away and know their stuff from those that are trying to look like the know but really don't.

My 2 cents,
Michael Coffman

Thanks for the point and yes, I'm probably the one to blame for that. I don't have nearly the experience that Dennis and Michael have...I'm a shooter but I'm also the techie. I'll try to work on that in the future. Thanks for listening and I'm glad you like the show.

Arrrggggghhhhhh!!! It's the Clip Nazi!   Cousin to the Spelling Nazi!    Roll Eyes

WB is absolutely correct.  Correct use of the terminology can mark one as being knowledgeable and articulate.  So, of course, I use clip a lot.   Wink

Like your CA podcast!  One of the most professionally produced I've heard.  And the content is similarly excellent.

I've always preferred the more technical term, "Bullet holder thingy that goes in the handle of the gun", but I'm just picky that way. Keep studying your gun terminology, you'll catch up to me one day... Keep up the good "Online Radio Broadcast Shows That I Play on My Computer"... wish they had a shorter name for those things...

LOL Cheesy

I generally really don't care. However, when someone touts being an expert like Michael and Dennis, I guess I hope for a higher degree of accuracy. That being said, I really do enjoy the show a great deal and the term "clip" by no means deters from that, well at least not much Wink. Glad to have you guys on board!

I do the touting usually and I dare say they have more experience in their little finger...a little finger they could kill with! Wink

In an effort to be inclusive to everyone including newbies to the shooting sports, I/we may use terms like clips because that's relate-able.

On a personal note, I may use them because my hair needs a clip. I'll clip my fingernails also. "Clip" to me means: Neat, tidy, well kept. Kind of like those bullet thingies that go in them. And really, isn't that what we're talking about here? No? Have you seen Avatar?

You know there are two types of experts in the world. They Ivy league types that give you a hard time for not using proper terminology and the type that simply try hard to teach you and indentify with you. I will never alienate a student. We try to teach our students and make them feel comfortable. That's about the end of it. I'm glad everyone enjoys the show and understands that our most important goal is to teach. Thanks all.
Thanks,
