Barnes DPX getting good reviews on accuracy (Chuck Taylor) and penetration on animals & gelatin. Any thoughts about use for SD i.e.: over penetration issues? I haven't seen any comments or documentation in gun mags. Thanks, Dave

Dave. I've posted Perma-Gel results in the ammo forum at www.smith-wessonforum.com . DPX is good ammo. Gelatin results are also posted at www.goldenloki.com and www.stoppingpower.net in the test bed forum. www.brassfetcher.com should have test results as well.

I believe Evan Marshall is using DPX.

If I could find it locally, and get enough of it to be happy, it would be in my guns. The fact that Evan Marshall uses it is enough to convince me it's good ammo, as I consider Evan to be nobody's fool.

There's a lot more good ammo out there, or at least decent ammo, than years ago. I don't see as much need to go to a different caliber now as I used to.
