Jager polymer guide rods

Flipping through the latest Tactical Journal I come across this add for IDPA SSP approved guide rods. I just picked up a new "stock" rod for my G19 as I figure I am in the 2-3K rounds through the original but wondered about this more costly option. Has anyone run these and how do you determine the right ISMI springs and does this depend on the load I am shooting? Swap them in and out for carry vs. competition? $27 vs. $8 doesn't seem too crazy.
