i don't think i am going too far out on a limb in thinking the Gun dudes eat pizza. i am a pizza hut man myself. it's on the speed dial. call them up and in 45-60 minutes you get a cold pizza delivered right to your door. in about that time i can preheat my oven and pop the pizza in for 20 minutes to reheat it and all is right with the world...
until yesterday when i made the mistake of switching teams and ordering a "new" Domino's pizza. i don't know what possessed me. but i got to say it was the bomb! hot and within 30 minutes phonecall to door. IGot a large supreme/meat lovers combo.
Crust, veggies are tender and flavorful. The Italian sausage tastes like italian sausage! the peperoni is real and not some dried poker chip. the sauce has hints of basil and oregano. Even the cheese is really good. i mean when you taste it you think [homer] CHeeeeese [/homer].
It's not in any way part and parcel with the garbage from Domino's we ate in college or even a few months ago. not cardboard box crust with crummy tomato paste and government "white" cheese that tasted like glue if it has any taste at all.
I dare say it is the best pizza I have had in a very long time. Star ...pizza in Houston comes mind but their pizza goes soggy after a few bites. Conan's in Austin? Maybe. if i ordered this pizza in a nice Italian restaurant i would not be disappointed. that fact that it came to my house within 30 minutes is awesome.

I'm going to have to come to domino's defense here. . while it's true that much of their stuff is little more than a hot circle of garbage, the thin crust with everything is like a giant toasted cracker made by the gods themselves. .
as luck would have it, , they don't seem to have a Domino's anywhere near here in Vermont. . . However I have found a Mom and Pop that does these crazy "gourmet" pizzas. . Like a BBQ chicken and garlic with BBQ sauce instead of tomato. . sadly though, , no delivery. . not that anyone could find my house anyway.

Simple, pizza after shooting. Get delivery people close, tell them to listen for gunfire and come on in. People see you having fun, big smiles all around. I won't tell you what's in that pepperoni! Larry

the new dominos for a large chain vendor is pretty good but you really have to have no thoughts about the fat content because that is the magic they used to fix things like the old cardboard crust. From a big chain I still prefer others and really we have become more Papa Murphy's (have to support the family name there) take and bake. But in general pizza is good stuff.

Glad to hear Dominoes has gotten better been stuck with Pizza Hut bread disk with tomato paint and toppings. Although if you want to really make use of your time and money I recommend Red Baron Fire Baked. Just make sure to use a metal or stone pizza pan underneath it preheated it actually cooks the pizza properly and works better then a cookie sheet. Add some extra cheese and delivery will start to seem like a total waste.

But if you make it yourself you can beat them all with little effort and for almost the same cost and time.

Yeah, the new dominos isn't bad, but when it comes to big chain delivery I'll stick to Papa John's. Better ingredients, better pizza, Papa John's.
I watch entirely too much TV.

Do none of you guys have mazzio's? Man I feel sorry for you. I don't have to settle for pizza-huugh! Or dominuts.
My friend works at the place that makes the dough and stuff for pizza-hut and he doesn't eat it anymore. They run test batches and they all get to eat plenty and it just sucks.

I hadn't eaten Dominos in, like, 15 years but had some the other day. Not bad. Still wasn't good, but wasn't as horrible as it used to be. See, lower expectations and even mediocre seems good. My wife learned that long ago, which explains why she's stayed with me for so long.

Dominoes, blech, yuk. I'm gonna give em a try again since they claim that they're new and improved. When possible one should stay away from chain pizza. They all suck. Support your local pizzeria. That's where you'll find a good tasting pie. Here's my favorite local pizza joint: http://www.zoeyspizza.com/And whenever I go to the TwinCities: http://www.pizzaluce.com/

I don't do Pizza Hut because of them firing the employee over carrying and cause they suck IMHO.I don't do Domino's. I like Little Caesars because it cheap, tastes good and it's owned by my favorite NHL owner Mike Ilitch of the Detroit Red Wings and MLB Detroit Tigers. I also like Papa John's but my favorite which I am no longer able to go to because it's thousands of miles away from me is Roundtable Pizza. For Chicago style nobody beats Giordannos, the one downtown by Sak's Fifth Ave. is the best. For NY pizza, Ray's is the way to go. Someday I hope to visit Connecticut where there's a pizza joint I just found out about that's supposed to be fantastic.

Papa John's, all the meats deep dish, the nearest you can get to a real Chicago Pizza without walking on the Mag Mile!
Papa Murphy's stuffed are okay....but just too dry.

I know it has limited bearing on you guys down there but here in SA we support Romans Pizza (whose owners encourage the carrying of firearms by their licensed owners who work for them or who are customers!) and Ocean Basket who sponsor our IDPA!
