What do you say when you talk to the cops?

When I get pulled over it's...

Cop: License, registration and proof of insurance.
Me: I have my CCW and I'm armed.

If I ever had to use my gun to defend my self...

Cop: What happened? (or regardless of what they say)
Me: I was in fear for my life, I will cooperate fully but I would like to call my lawyer first.

If I had to use my gun and I was the person to call 911...

911: Whats your emergency?
Me: Ive been involved in a self defense shooting. Can you send an officer and an ambulance.

I bring this up because I've often heard what people say to the cops when they get pulled over, but very seldom do you hear what people would say in other situations. I know to say as little as possible to avoid incriminating yourself, so what do you say?

Mike, I think the search function will get you to a previous discussion that covered that pretty well, mostly with the good advice of brother Steve Denney.

I would post a link, were I technically adept enough to do so. Unfortunately, my self-styled TechnoChick, significant other, and adult supervisor is otherwise occupied (something about an "expletive deleted podcast upload system," or words to that effect), and I am left alone to my own devices, which is sort of like a monkey trying to do something meaningful on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise.

To you it's a computer; to me, it's a typewriter with a silencer.

However, if the search function doesn't get you where you need to go, Mike, I'm sure one of the ProArms podcast members who, unlike me, DID make it to the 20th Century can provide a link.

Sorry not to be more helpful,
Mas

Speaking of explicatives, none have been wasted in our move off of Podbean for the podcast.

We may have to go on a break for a while until I straighten this whole mess out.

(still in very crabby mode r/t podcast hosting.)

The discussion that Mas was referring to (I think) is contained in this thread:

Hope this helps.
