I just got to say I think you guys are dead wrong on the trigger finger segment.
I have always practiced finger off the trigger until you you want to fire. Sure it slows you down, LEO, MIL and CIV but it gives you the extra split second to descide to fire and most important is the gun won't fire unless you put your finger on the trigger. Look at rules 3 and 2 as part of the whole with regard to the application of force. You try to get compliance verbally, then thru the display of a weapon, then threat of deadly force (pointing that weapon at the person). If none of that works the next step is the physical use of deadly force. Simply placing your finger inside the trigger guard won't add any extra force and could result in excessive force. When the time for deadly force comes you should be fireing.

To look at it another way do you use 60/40 grip pressure?  Do you just touch the trigger? Take up enough slack to hit the "wall" on a Glock?  Say your a swap cop or mil, so you are covering down a threat safety off, finger on the trigger.  For whatever reason you can't take the shot and you have been on gunpoint for a while.  Stress is getting to you, and you are startled. You can easily clinch your fist and since your trigger finger is the strongest it can easily trip the trigger.

Well those are my thoughts.  I think you guys put on a great show. Just wanted to let you know where I was comming from.
