Caleb of Top Shots and Gun Nuts Media fame has a copy of the new IDPA provisional "defensive multigun" (DMG) rules!

Should be fun! I think it may be time to blow the cobwebs off my old SASS "gun cart" ...(Damn...no "smiley" with a cowboy hat...)

Lookin' forward to it,

Mas (wishing they had lowered the power factor in SSR while they were at it...)

.
Will there be rules for "tactical" costuming?  The amount of velcro and molle loops required?  Nascar like billboards shirts?

 Roll Eyes

Welcome to the world of Modern SASS.  Silly costumes are required.   Grin

Seriously, will the California 10 round magazine limit on EBRs be recognized in the rules?

No specific magazine limit for rifles/pistol caliber carbine, just that a stage with 15 shots or more must involve a reload.

For shotguns you can only have 6 total shells in the gun and a stage is limited to 10 shotgun shots. Many people don't like that, I think it is reasonable and keeps the shotgun stages from being speed reload competitions like in IPSC.

Sounds like it's essentially IDPA's version of 3 gun.

Shot my first IPDA match as a DMG today at ACC in Indiana.  It rocked!  I plan on shooting DMG whenever I can and get to a regular handgun match some too.  Thanks to the Proarms crew for all the info on the podcast and here (and even the Gun Dudes since they can do it I knew I could too Cheesy )!!!  Also thanks Larry of the Midwest Gun Rights News podcast, I might have missed it if I hadn't heard it there first!

Sweet, I cant wait to see how it goes.

The pistol caliber carbine stages are smart.  I taps into a niche market just like SSR that gives it an edge over USPSA for certain shooters.
