Hello,   I've been listening for a while now.   Just got done listening to episode 19, The "cellphone show"... hah  (I kid, I kid!).

Just wondering, what type of equipment do you use to record/monitor the show with?

Boy you're not kidding about "the cellphone show" I had to cut a lot, what you heard were the good parts. The worst part of it all is, that was my cell phone. We were "on the go" and had nothing to monitor with, recording on a zoom h2 recorder. My new years resolution is to vastly improve the sound.

There  is no arguing that you all are important.  With the amount of calls you were all receiving.   Cool  Good show regardless.

OK, this is what happened to Podcast 019

At the beginning of the recording you can hear my Treo go "Plonk" which is the sound I get when my phone loses signal. Instead of turning it off like I should have I turned off the speaker only. Since it lost signal it began a concerted effort to regain a signal which is all of the static interference that is heard in the podcast. Usually it does this cycle periodically but since it lost the signal it did it almost constantly. It's all my fault. I am so embarrassed.  Embarrassed

Gail, with all that in depth knowledge on how the  problem happened, you could have devised a perfect alibi, or at least blamed it on someone else. (John or Chris)   Grin

Since I listen on my I-phone, I thought it was my phone being by my computer causing the noise the whole time.  Shouldn't have said anything Gail, I never would have known.
